   My wife got me this as a present. We often have friends/family over and need to make breakfast for a crowd. I thought it was a little gimmicky at first, but it has become one of my goto pieces of kitchen equipment! We love it so much we have started buying them as gifts. Ease of use is the best part, paired with the fact that you can make sandwiches with any ingredients you like! Had a friend over with celiacs (so no gluten), and could just take the ring and press into some gluten free bread to make a piece the right size. Have not had any problems with it, and it's easy to use and clean. Only tricky part is if you don't want your eggs well done - you have to time it just right. A little less time and put the bun on the top a little later.

   Really cool inexpensive sandwich maker, solid product, all sides have non stick surfaces throughout, never had any issues with anything sticking, appears to be very well built.! great if you’re trying to make a sandwich real quick or Sunday mornings making a couple of sandwiches along with some pancakes or waffles. Also a great product if you’re going to go camping as long as you have a 110 outlet. On a side note, be very careful when lifting the lids due to the heat, I had the single one, I liked it so much. I ended up buying the double especially since I have a family of four. MAKING the sandwich! I always ended up using the round thin sliced Canadian bacon. I would heat up the unit, once the ready light came on. I would place the Canadian bacon down first for about 30 seconds and then flip it for another 30 seconds this way it’s pre-cooked. Then lightly butter, all the services wipe off excess off with a paper towel. It heats up very quickly!! To make sandwich … on the bottom place either a bagel, a potato roll or an English McMuffin then a slice of cheese and then the pre-cooked bacon close the lid, have an egg pre-scrambled poured in the top and then close the lid. Let the egg cook for about a minute then place the other piece of bread on top of that. Close the lid again let it cook for about a minute and then in the middle is a separator slide out all the way out and the sandwich comes together. Let that cook for about another minute and it’s completed. FINAL assessment, … Awesome product… tastes amazing … I would definitely buy it again. Plus, it’s fun to make the sandwiches with the family

   I've had this now for just about a year and a half. It's great!! It's nearly foolproof. I say "nearly" out of reverence for the greater fool theory, but yeah, it does exactly what it says it does and it does it well. Quick prep, easy clean up, and it's never failed me. Way better than buying it from the golden arches. Not sure I'd pay full price though. $55 is kind of pricey. I got mine on sale for $30. At that price point it's definitely worth it.

   I bought this for my 17 year old son. He loves breakfast sandwiches from Timmies, or anywhere. He is autistic. He is scarred to use the stove. He is working on food budget, making meals, and clean up. First time using it, I helped. 2nd time, he made me dinner. It is that awesome. He has used it every day for two weeks. I don't have to worry about protein intake. Best thing I have ever bought that has lifted him up. Successfully and cheap. He makes 4 of them in 8 minutes. He cleans up and is one step closer to independence.

I am very impressed with this little machine. I took the review advice and made sure to preheat so the egg wouldn’t run and I waited to drop the top half of the bread in until the egg cooked a bit and I had two minutes left on the timer.    I love this sandwich maker. My sister had gotten one and she brought it with her when we had family vacation in the Smoky Mountains. She made us breakfast every day and everyone loved their breakfast sandwiches. I bought myself one and today I used it for the first time at home. It only takes 3 minutes cooking time to make the best breakfast sandwich. There's so many ways you can make not only breakfast but various other types of sandwiches. I highly recommend it!

Hamilton Beach knocked it out of the park with this thing.Insanely easy to use, I’ve made perfect “puck sandwiches” (as I call ‘em) every morning with this machine. It’s no surprise that it has more than 25,000 reviews of 4.6 stars!Put a tiny amount of oil or cooking spray on the plates and rings, plug it in, the green light shows when it’s ready. Drop the bottom half of the muffin in the lower ring, top with some cheese, then a slice of Canadian bacon or your favorite crispy strip bacon, then drop the next set of rings down and pour in your lightly scrambled egg, drop the top half of the muffin (yeah, on top of the egg goo), drop the lid, set the timer for 5 minutes. PERFECT EVERY TIME.It’s super easy to clean, too.This may be the greatest kitchen appliance I’ve ever owned! 😄

   Definitely worth the money. It was delivered 3 hours ago and I've made 3 egg Mcmuffin like sandwiches. All 3 came out perfect. I say look at the YouTube reviews. Because I did look at a couple videos, I did not even have to read the instructions. I used the pump spray margarine to lubricate the surfaces. Afterwards, clean up was easy, use a wet paper towel folded in 1/4s and just wipe off anything that stuck to the surfaces. there is very little to wipe off. One thing I do recommend is a plug in receptical switch to plug the unit into, there is no on/off switch for the unit. I bought the GE receptacle socket switch, it was around $10 but worth it. Even if you only make breakfast sandwiches once in a while, it is worth the price.

   My first reaction to seeing this product was "they sorta went overboard on this", i.e., why design it do make the entire sandwich when the meat has to be precooked anyway ... it seemed to me that just cooking a pair of properly-sized eggs would be a big help, and would be a much simpler machine (although it wouldn't pre-melt the cheese).But my wife and I like breakfast sandwiches and this machine makes two at a time, which is better than using my tiny egg skillet, so I decided to give it a shot. After using it several times, my original reaction has been confirmed, but I'm still happy I have it, and I'm assigning 5 stars because it is a well-made product that performs exactly as advertised.As others have stated, I'm not a fan of the manufacturer's recommended process of plopping everything into the preheated machine (including placing the top of the English muffin onto the raw egg) and setting it to cook for 5 minutes. Rather, I prefer to cook just the egg for a while, and then add everything else. The total cook time is still 5 minutes, the upper muffin hasn't soaked up a bunch of the egg, and the cheese (which should be placed directly onto the lower muffin half, not on top of the meat!) is nicely melted without running off the sides of the sandwich.Cleanup is very easy, as advertised (if it wasn't, we would already have written this machine off and tossed it into a closet).The resulting food quality is quite good ... the muffins are a little chewy compared to toasting them, but it's a reasonable trade-off to get the cheese nicely melted and everything heated properly without getting out other appliances or pans.

   I'm enjoying this breakfast sandwich maker. I only messed up on my first try. That was my fault because, despite the warning "do not press lid down," I did, and the egg ran over. But since I've made some nice-looking egg muffin sandwiches.I place the top piece of the muffin on the bottom. I use a small condiment dish to cut the slice of cheese and a piece of turkey ham into a circle, to place on it. (Makes it a perfect fit). Then in the next layer, I crack the egg, break the yoke, and add the edges left from the cut cheese and turkey ham. I put the lid down and start the timer. After one minute, I open it up and place the other piece of muffin on top. This helps keep the muffin from absorbing the egg. When the timer goes off, the egg muffin comes out perfect. Each layer is the perfect thickness, and they look way nicer than the ones I used to buy at a fast food place.I plan on trying other things in this sandwich maker. I am pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to others.

The machine itself is easy to clean. I love being able to make breakfast and still be able to do other tasks while its cooking. Definitely recommend.

   I got the double one , as there are two of us and I wanted the food ready at one time.I have found it easy to use, and I do use a hot potholder to move the lid and sliding egg support so there is no chance of burns.I read a bunch of reviews before buying this on a sale, and notice some people do the wrong thing.Here is what I do:I prep my food (cut the english muffins, get my cheese, ham, and crack 1 large egg into 1 dish scrambled, for 2 dishes).close it and plug it in until it shows the green light.open it and spray the bottom and put on the muffin bottom, ham, cheese.bring down the top ring and (the round egg shelf is in the ring) pour the egg in.drop on the top muffin and close the lidset timer for 4.5 minutes.I did try 2 eggs and it made a mess, probably 1.5 large eggs is the limit.I have added 1/4 teaspoon of horse radish to the egg mixed in and it makes it a change in tasteI found washing the rings in a sink of soapy water very easy.I wipe the top and bottom plate of the appliance on the counter with a soapy cloth and then rinse it with the same cloth rinsed out.

   This little machine is a time saver. It preheats quickly, and only takes 4-5 minutes to cook the sandwich. It's super easy to use and leaves little to no mess after it's done. You plug it in, let it preheat, when the green light turns on that means it's preheated. You add the bottom of the English muffin, place your cheese/meats/veggies on top, you pull down the top cylinder, slide in the egg tray, add the egg and then place the top half of the english muffin on top of the egg, close it and set the timer on the device and it beeps when the timer hits zero to let you know it's finished. Then you unplug it to stop it from heating (it does not automatically turn off when timer hits zero), then you slide out the egg tray and lift the two cylinders up and viola! You now have a perfectly cooked breakfast sandwich! Side note, in case you are curious, you need to add precooked meats to it, not raw meats. Bacon, ham and sausage all have precooked variants at the grocery store which will expedite the cooking process for you because you don't need to preheat it or cook the meat prior to cooking which will save time and reduce the cleanup afterwards. Egg leakage was minimal, and I'm pretty confident they little that came out it was from me feeling the need to adjust the tray while it was cooking. The only leakage I noticed was from using oil spray on it. The oil dripped when I lifted the top cylinder. It said to use the oil lightly if you did choose to use it, I definitely didn't use it lightly so that's more of a me issue. It's the perfect size machine, not too big and it's lighter than expected, so it's pretty easy to store away etc. The instruction manual is self explanatory, super easy to understand and gives you some trouble shooting advice incase you mess up somehow and it doesn't turn out how you anticipated. The only way I could see it not properly cooking the food is if you didn't let the machine preheat and you didn't set a timer. And again. I want to emphasize it's super easy to clean, the metal cylinders are also dishwasher safe. I would absolutely recommend this product for those who want a quick hot breakfast with very little cleanup required. And two recommended sauces, Cajun majo or salsa goes great with the egg sandwich and the best cheese to use with this is finely shredded mild cheddar! That's just my personal opinion though. Some people said it smells... I think that's probably because they didn't clean it before first use. I cleaned mine prior to using it and i don't smell anything. It functions well for what it is. And side note, if you have marble counters like I do, you may want to skip the spray oil or make sure it's a very small amount, because oil will destroy marble counters if you don't clean it instantly. The device is all non stick material so you really don't even need to use a non stick spray. Hope this helps!!! :)**Review update on 10/6/24, I've been using this daily. Still no leaks or issues and I've experimented with different English muffins and different meats etc and its made the sandwich perfectly each time. I do recommended toasting the English muffins first before putting them in this machine. But it will make it regardless it's just a matter of preference on how toasted you want the muffin. ***

   This egg sandwich maker is fantastic! It heats up quickly and is quick and simple to use. We break up the cheddar slice into 4 even quarter pieces to cover the the lower bun so that the sides of the cheese do not stick out too much over the English muffin causing cheese to melt out onto the sides of the machine. It just makes for a tidier sandwich. We also buy precooked bacon so that creating a sandwich does not take too long. My 10 year old now makes her own sandwiches for breakfast or lunch. I love that the round egg molds can be cleaned in the top rack of your dishwasher. The duo machine is great so you can make two sandwiches simultaneously. Great for a family with kids.

   I really appreciated the video reviews with their personal recipes, and it sold me on this unit! I've been making my husband and myself breakfast sandwiches about 3-4 times or week! The eggs and cheese are the easy part. But I had to try several types of meat until I finally found the perfect one! Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage (in the roll) either the HOT or the MAPLE. Each are equally delicious. Here's the key: I cut the roll into 4 equal portions, using 1 portion for each breakfast sausage. When they're cooked up, they're the same size in diameter as the English Muffin. Every bite has meat! Of course, you need to thoroughly cook the patty. I flatten out the sausage portion bigger than size of the sandwich receptacle because the sausage shrinks a bit. I heat my cast iron pan to hot, add a little Graza "Sizzle" Extra Virgin Olive oil, then add my two patties, letting them get a nicely browned crust, flip and let the order size get a crust, lower the heat and let then finish cooking through. In the meantime, I butter the outsides of my thin sliced English muffins. Heat the breakfast sausage maker until the light turns green. Now add: the muffin half, buttered side down, the cheddar cheese, the hot sausage patty, then the beaten egg, with salt, pepper to taste, then lay a slice of pepper jack cheese on top of the beaten egg, then top it with the other half of the buttered muffin. I set the the timer for 4.5 min. BTW, the purpose of the buttered muffins laying butter side down is because it creates slightly crispy outsides. The extra cheese laying on top of the beaten eggs does melt real nice, too. I break each cheese slice into 4 pieces so that it doesn't touch the metal ring. This breakfast sandwich makes more of a mess in the unit, so the little units will need to be (easily) removed, soaked in soapy water, and cleaned thoroughly, but it's worth the extra cleanup. In place of the cheese on top of the beaten eggs, I've added finely chopped red & green bell peppers, and that's a nice change of flavor. Still very delicious!

   I love sandwiches, & I’ve bought a lot of sandwich makers, most are dusty in the backs of my cupboard after one use. I like to eat, but not so fond of lots of cleaning. Waste of calories. lol this gadget has me saving on using multiple pans, & utensils, & perfect sandwich every time. The shocker? I used a paper towel to wipe up the cooked egg, & cheese that spilled over. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing! It just wiped right off! No fuss! Easy to use, easy to clean, sandwiches are perfect every time. This sandwich maker stays on my counter. No back of the cupboard for this beauty.

I got this so that when we miss the morning breakfast hours at a chicken restaurant we can make our own. I get an Egg White Grill sandwich which is a piece of grilled chicken on a toasted Classic English Muffin with egg whites and American cheese. So, my plan is to buy their grilled nuggets and keep them in the freezer and pull out 2-3 grilled chicken nuggets and make my own. A note the system instructions say to use only fresh egg white or whole eggs and not egg products and this is simple to just crack an egg or two into the egg wellUpdate 3/24/2004Here are some tips to mimic the restaurant with the M and the Arches or the chicken restaurant that closes on Sunday.1. Start by taking your English muffin and split it apart and then place the pieces face down and toast the insides for about 5 minutes (this will vary on the brand you buy, due to the moisture content). Place the on the bottom burner inside the bottom rings and close the top during the 5 minutes.1a. Do this for all of your muffins in a preparatory state and set them aside.1b. DO NOT TOAST THE BOTTOMS - only toast the insides, because the top and the bottom will be toasted during the cooking process.2. Now proceed to cook the sandwich. Placed your pre-toasted muffins in the holders. Bottom tray with your meat/cheese. Upper holder with your egg and close the lid. (To help stop the egg from seeping out, make sure to put the swing-out plate all the way over into the holder prior to pouring your whole egg or egg white (ONLY USE REAL EGG - don't use egg mixture. DO NOT PUT THE TOP PART OF THE MUFFIN IN JUST YET.2a. You don't need to lightly coat the unit when you are prepping your muffins, but when you are cooking the egg, it is best to coat the top ring and the swing out plate with oil/butter to help remove the egg. I wiped mine with a wet cloth, so I coat them each time. If you just wipe with a dry cloth or paper towel, you may not have to coach it each time and you will have to periodically judge when you need to recoat.2b. Make sure your meat is pre-cooked3. I found that with either one egg or two five minutes on the timer works best.4. When the timer is up, NOW PUT THE TOP MUFFIN on top of the cooked egg and cook for 1 minute.4a. Place some margarine/butter on top muffin's inside after the minute is up.Even though, the prep adds some time, unless you pre do all of your muffins and keep in the freezer (make sure to bring to room temperature if you freeze the toasted muffin or you will have defeated all of your work).These steps help to give a consistently good sandwich and a sandwich that is not soggy.Use non metal utensils to help save the nonstick coating.If you use a whole egg, take non-metal utensil and pierce the yolk(s)Good luck and happy cooking

   This is a great little breakfast sandwich maker. Perfect every time! We use pre-cooked sausage patties, real sliced cheese (not processed) and large eggs. The sandwiches cook perfectly every time, we lightly "pre-heat" the sausage patties and set the timer to 4.
   Here are a few things we discovered.
   1. MOST IMPORTANT. Make sure the unit is fully pre-heated
   2. Make sure that you use a quality non-stick spray on all cooking surfaces
   3. Only use large eggs. Extra large or jumbo will probably overflow
   4. We put the cheese on the bottom half of the English Muffin so that it soaks into the bun rather than on top of the meat.
   5. Pre-cooked sausage patties seem to work the best. Have not tried bacon, but Canadian bacon would probably work well
   6. Wipe the unit with a damp cloth as soon as it has cooled down. Hand wash the removeable parts as putting them in the dishwasher will degrade the non-stick coating.
   7. Enjoy your breakfast. Eat your heat out, McDonald's!

   Watched a few YouTube videos before I decided to purchase this. Was going to buy it as a Family Christmas gift but it never made it under the tree! We used it a couple days after we got it on the weekend. We bought a bunch of different things to try and our first run at it was very successful. We actually went on a shopping trip to buy a variety of things that could be used in it like precooked bacon, precooked sausage, chicken patties and ham, etc. We bought small burger buns which fit nicely in there as well as small frozen pancakes an English muffins. We tried out the chicken patties and cook those up first in the air fryer and then made the sandwich with the small hamburger buns, egg and American cheese. We added mayonnaise and pickles afterwards and that was really delicious. We also made some sausage muffins with egg and cheese as well. You can really creative variety of things. Some easier than others depending on how much time you want to put in. The meat needs to be precooked so I suggest buying things that are already precooked. If you're buying frozen items and have a air fryer that makes it a lot faster but it's definitely worth it! I think This would be also useful for brunch and lunch. Everything we made came out beautifully. I would suggest getting a spray variety of oil and use either a paper towel or brush to get all the areas. We had no problem at all with sticking. The only time we had an issue was when the ring plate for the egg was not all the way pushed to the side. If it's not completely push together the egg will just slip right out the crack, so make sure you have that in position correctly. The 5 minute timer was a little bit much so three minutes seem to actually do really well for us. It might take some trial and error but we only had one set that didn't come out perfectly which was when the timer was set for 5 minutes and when the egg slipped out the tiny crack that wasn't pushed all the way to line up with the ring. After that every other one came out absolutely perfect!The size of this is really nice. It looks a lot bigger in the pictures, but it is a nice compact size so it won't take up much room on a shelf or in a pantry. Super easy to clean up.

   I saw the single sandwich version recieve a favorable review by that kitchen gadget engineer on the bon appétit channel. Even though he commented that it was a "one trick pony," I ordered it from amazon. Of course, right after I placed my order, I found this double unit. So, I requested a cancelation of the single unit and ordered this one. I figured if the cancelation didn't go through, I'd just return the single unit unopened. But, amazon was able to cancel the single maker order.Anyway, I'm very happy with this double sandwich maker. I use it most days. Sometimes as a single, left or right doesn't matter, but usually as a double. I use four minutes either way and the egg(s) come out tender and without sticking. Although, I would prefer a runny yolk, I guess it's less messy to eat with a set yolk. And I appreciate that the whites are not rubbery. I may try shorter timing to see how the egg(s) fair?I've found from watching video reviews and through my own use, that using butter flavored cooking spray on all cooking surfaces once preheated, and waiting to add any cheese till after cooking makes for easy wipe down later when the unit has cooled. Every thing is plenty hot enough once removed to a plate, that the cheese melts readily wherever you place it inside. I like the Thomas Light Muti-grain English Muffins with it and they have eight grams of fiber each. Also, if you can find mini blueberry bagels, they make for an interesting flavor combination. I use large eggs and I don’t break the yolk. This does make for a slightly lopsided sandwich but gives a burst of just set yolk flavor. If you have a thin muffin top, two large eggs work per sandwich, still at four minutes. I use precooked frozen turkey sausage patties, thawed overnight in the refrigerator. Sometimes, I'll use two patties per sandwich by placing one on the muffin bottom and one in the top section, then cracking the egg on it, breaking the yolk, adding the muffin top and again, four minutes. Two patties stacked together in the bottom section is too thick.

   Unpackaging and set up was easy. Shipped fast. Most of all, their customer service swiftly settled an issue I had with my first unit. I followed the directions from the manual. I let the unit warm up, light went green, I added my bread and cheese, lowered down the egg compartment and cracked an egg into it, stirred it around with a toothpick... and that's where the issue started. The right egg cup leaked! Ugh. I thought it was maybe me, so I tried it another time. Leaked. I tried scrambling the egg before pouring in the cup. Leaked. I tried egg whites. Leaked. You get the picture. Was so bummed because the left side worked perfectly. I contacted Hamilton Beach with my issue and BooM! A new unit was shipped out. And... both cups hold!!! I'm so thrilled. I haven't been this excited about a sandwich maker since I got married! (*I kid.)Tips. I started with frozen pre-cooked patties but have switched to pre-formed patties that are fresh. I cook those in a skillet and season to my liking. I found the pre-cooked frozen ones were a bit small and the fresh ones are wider and fill the muffin. Also, as much as I like the name brand muffins... the store brand ones are more uniform, the tops and bottoms are the same width. This really helps when you put the top piece in with the egg. Oh... and I tried one where the cheese was between the sausage and egg... don't do that. lol. Nothing catastrophic, but it made the sandwich slippery. I'd bite into it and the pieces would all move. With the cheese on the bread, everything stays in place. Also, keep a towel or pot holder nearby, the unit has spots that can get quite hot. I mean... it's cooking your egg and toasting your bread. So, yeah... be careful with touching bare skin to it and don't try cleaning it until it's cooled down. OH!! and I really like how fool proof that is. They made the left and right side almost fool proof. The hinge areas are specific to left and right sides. You can't screw up which cup goes on which side unless you turn them upside down. But you'll notice quite quickly that you've made an error and flip things around. This is so that you can slide the egg tray out of the cup, without obstruction, to complete the sandwich. If you had the ability to put either cup on either side, you'd pivot into the other cup. No good. So, they designed the guess work out for everyone. The left side slider opens left and the right side opens right. Nothing to it.

   Don't think I will ever eat a frozen breakfast sandwich again. For years I would buy frozen breakfast sandwiches and bowls and rotated them for breakfast but that was getting boring. I came across the Hamilton Beach Dual Breakfast Sandwich Maker while looking for an omelet maker and decided to give it a try. The sandwich maker is well made and the price is good. It is very easy to use and easy to clean.We have had it for six weeks now and use it every other day. I have made sandwiches for my wife and I using English muffins, biscuits or pancakes. I use either Canadian bacon or sausage patties with Colby Jack, Swiss or American cheese. TIPS: Although the finish is non-stick apply a light coat of cooking spray to the upper and lower plates as well as the rings an the egg tray then gently wide the cooking oil with a dry paper towel to spread it around more evenly. Only use silicone utensils like a spatula with this product so that you don't accidently scratch the surface. Never use anything metal. Make sure the green light is on before you start making the sandwich. When making the sandwiches cut the cheese to fit the lower bun and place the meat on the cheese before putting the lower part of the sandwich in the bottom ring. Lower the upper ring and make sure the egg trays are completely slid in place before putting an egg in each ring. Make sure the upper heat plate for the egg is level or the egg will tend to run to one side.Use a toothpick to break the yokes so that that are runny. Set the timer for 3 minutes then salt and pepper before lowering the lid. Use a little Cajun southern seasoning if you want to kick start the morning. When the timer goes off lift the lid and place the top bun on the egg. Close the lid and set the timer for two minutes. Unplug the sandwich maker and remove the sandwich as soon as the second timer goes off. The unit does not turn off by it's self. Let the unit cool then use a barely damp dish cloth to wipe the inside of the unit clean. Then use a barely damp paper towel to rinse all the parts. We haven't had issues with things sticking to the surface. I recently bought a second one so that we can keep on at our beach condo. Frozen sandwiches now taste like cardboard compared to the sandwiches I can make with this sandwich maker and it only takes two more minutes to make the sandwich as compared to heating up a frozen sandwich in the microwave.

   I absolutely LOVE this little machine!
   First great thing about it is that it is pretty much impossible to burn it or to even overcook it. The built in temperature is perfect to get your sandwich either real warm or steamy hot if you'd like, but not enough to burn it. Dummy proof! (I'm a dummy when it comes to cooking and I confirm it).
   
   In case you're a beginner like me, here's my favourite recipe that has been working great:
   
   Half an english muffin on the bottom (smeared with a little mayo), then a layer of chopped onion, shredded marble cheese and bacon, season with salt and pepper.
   Then lower the middle "rack", smash an egg on there, season with salt and pepper and close the lid. Set timer to 3.5 minutes.
   Then open the lid, put the top of the english muffin on the cooked egg and close the lid. Then open the bottoms of the middle "rack" and let the egg with the muffin top drop onto the bottom part of your sandwich. Cook for another minute and you're good to go!
   
   Piece of advice - NEVER put a muffin top on a raw egg, it WILL overflow as the egg rises during the cooking. I learned this the hard way. Wait until the egg is cooked, then add the muffin top.
   Other than that you can get real crearive with your sandwiches!
   
   I am super happy I bought this. The price is great and the product is too.

   We love the double sandwich maker with or without the top buns🤗 Updating that after experimenting found a bun that fits the unit. Of course English muffins will fit, but if you prefer a non English bread, this Artesian bun is perfect size.I don't like squishing or cooking my top bun. Instead after the egg on top ring is cooked (nice to be able to peek and see) than I add the top bun, it still warms up nicely without being squashed from lowering the top.My bottom bun is placed right away when preheat green light comes on.Than I place deli meat, cheese, fresh spinach in that order in bottom ring to cook. (Or any other ingredients).I then lower the lid to heat back up until the green light comes on...I have my eggs ready in advance to open the top to fill in top ring.Always crack your egg on a flat surface, not the edge of ring. This prevents a uneven break and chips tend to drop inside. You want a flat crack then use your thumb to gently continue the break into top ringer. Season your eggs than close and set timer. That could be 4-5min. Nice thing is you can peek at egg with no top bun on it. If it looks like how you want your egg, remember the cook time for next time.Note: those that keep unit open too long doing this, or do not preheat the unit to start, will have longer cook time or a mess! Because a cold unit the egg will run out below the rings.**Green light means at temp go for it👌it takes about 2 min?**Red light means ✋ wait, its got to turn green first! All you did was plug the power in😉Cleaning unit: I place the rings in sink using the handles I run hot water and my soft brush with dish soap to quickly clean. If you always use a Pam like spray nothing sticks.For the unit NEVER place in your sink to clean! Use a damp paper towel or cloth while the unit is still warm, use your spatula not metal to move around and clean. When it's still warm it's sanitizing, I rarely need soap on unit. Think of it as your waffle maker same thing hot sizzling damp cloth cleans. You can use soapy cloth first but I find no need to, nothing sticks because I used Pam.My tip: I actually prefer cleaning the hot unit before I eat ( my sandwich is too hot to eat immediately). I do the inner rings after im done eating, which is perfect time for them to handle, not too hot😉👍Have fun😄we love and use everyday!

   This is honestly the BEST little contraption! I would always grab breakfast sandwiches on my way to work and spend $5 each time. Well, now I can make breakfast sandwiches using ingredients like goat cheese, roasted red pepper dip, hot sauce, basil etc. The bread is toasted in the maker and everything is perfect and ready in 4 minutes. In the 4 days we’ve had it, we would have already spent more money buying breakfast sandwiches (if we bought that many, of course!)
   
   My kids keep asking for breakfast sandwiches at every meal! I even made myself round egg on its own because I didn’t feel like having bread!
   I saw a previous reviewer complained that the egg leaked. It does NOT leak. You just have it make sure you don’t crack the egg until the preheat light comes on. This is honestly the most convenient versatile little sandwich maker. I highly, highly recommend it!

I found a way to make heavy, protein packed sandwiches to carry me through the day. These things have some weight to them!:Ingredients:4 extra large eggs4 slices of wheat bread from a regular sized loafShredded Parmesan cheeseHam roundsExtra virgin olive oil (aids in clean-up and helps cook the sliced bread)Directions:1. Apply a thin layer of olive oil to the cooking surfaces of the breakfast maker2. Plug in the breakfast maker to preheat it3. Retrieve remaining ingredients3. Take two slices of wheat bread and cut the square corners off at about a 45 degree angle4. By this time the maker should be preheated5. Take one slice of the wheat bread just cut and put it in the bottom of the maker, putting the rounded crust in first then carefully working the rest of the bread into the teflon round with a utensil6. Put the shredded cheese evenly on the bread, you can put quite a bit on7. Put ham rounds over the cheese, tucking the edges of the ham into the teflon round with a utensil8. Now pull the top cooking plates down, crack 2 extra large eggs per sandwich and puncture the yolks9. Now put the top down, without topping it with bread. I set the timer for 6 minutes at this point10. Now take the other two slices of bread and cut the corners off like in step 3. (For me, this is a good time to put the remaining ingredients in the fridge, and fix some coffee.)11. Once the timer goes off, check the eggs in the top. They might need to be cooked more, but if they have a some liquid still in the center and at its top it's okay to proceed, you can take a utensil to check carefully. Once the eggs are finished take the remaining two slices of wheat bread and put them the teflon round like before. Close the top and press, then set the timer for one more minute.12. Remove the sandwiches from the maker, the eggs will continue to cook some while the sandwiches cool.13. Unplug the sandwich maker.This takes around 15-17 minutes from start to finish, from plugging in the unit and fetching ingredients, to taking the sandwiches off the maker and unplugging it---and enough time to make instant coffee while the sandwiches cook. So if you're used to eating a big breakfast, or wanting to eat a big breakfast on the go, give this recipe a try.
